Born Terri Lynn Julie Johnson, a first nations cree woman from the Samson Cree Nation in Hobbema Alberta, Canada. Terri developed the gift of poetry at a young age. Childhood experiences and trials of tragedy mark her poetic journey. Her words a testament of her struggles and her pain. Few are more open and exposed as Terri, her poetry is her life’s art. She is the personification of tragedy turned triumph. Terri joined the international spoken word organization: P.O.E.T (People Of Extraordinary Talent) in 2010 and through the organization has become spoken word artist Poetry Johnson. Terri has also been working with William S. Peters of Innerchild Press, where she will be publishing her first poetry book entitled: The purging…the breathing…the essence of the soul of Terri, Poetic expressions By Terri L. Johnson. Which is set to be released in June 2011. She has also been featured on Innerchild Radio with William S. Peters. On P.O.E.T Radio with Blaq Ice and is also featured/published in A Poetically Spoken Anthology through Innerchild Press.
